Teaching Fund / Teaching Awards
EUF Teaching Fund for innovative teaching concepts
Starting from the Fall Semester 2018/19, the EUF Executive Board established a Teaching Fund to support innovative teaching concepts. Faculty members and academic staff are invited to apply, either individually or in teams, with their innovative course concepts.
The general aim of the teaching fund is to test and implement novel concepts for university teaching and learning methods and arrangements. It also allows for the support of innovative examination formats, the further development of existing concepts, or their transfer to other areas. Espeically fundable are teaching concepts that:
- Can be sustainably implemented or repeated
- Promote (interdisciplinary) research-oriented learning
- Advance internationalization
- Pay special attention to sustainability and/or diversity
AStA Teaching Award for Digital Teaching in Spring Semester 2020
Due to the pandemic, Spring Semester 2020 was marked by an abrupt shift mid-semester from in-person to remote teaching. This shift was often managed very successfully. As a token of appreciation to the instructors whose engagement facilitated this transition, AStA and the EUF Executive Board awarded a teaching prize funded by the Executive Board. AStA conducted a survey among students to select the 10 award recipients.
EUF Teaching Awards
Until 2016, the Europa-Universität Flensburg gave annual teaching awards for a specific type of course. In general, two awards were granted: one for the best undergraduate course and another for the best graduate course. Each award was endowed with 1,500 euros.
