Pedagogical-psychological diagnostics

Intelligence diagnostics

Characteristics of high intellectual giftedness can be, for example, a faster learning speed, the ability to grasp complex relationships quickly and a particularly good memory. In some cases, it can be helpful to carry out an intelligence assessment, which is also offered at our advice center. We will clarify whether this makes sense in a consultation beforehand.

We use the "Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children" (WISC-V), a test method that is used most frequently worldwide. The WISC-V measures the cognitive abilities of 6 to 16-year-old children and adolescents. In addition to the overall IQ, an individual profile can also be created showing strengths and weaknesses in the tested ability areas. The test results are summarized in a short report and explained in an individual consultation.

Motivation and personality diagnostics

Developing a person's talent potential is part of the personality development process. Social-emotional or performance development is not always unproblematic, as characteristics of the social environment and individual characteristics, e.g. pronounced perfectionism or dealing with stress, can have a negative impact on the development. A diagnostic assessment can provide important information in this regard.

The scientific basis of a so-called PSI potential analysis is the "personality-system interaction theory" (PSI theory); it combines personality theory approaches with neurobiological principles. PSI potential analysis records individual styles of action and abilities which are important for the development of personality. In individual cases, knowledge of these abilities can help individuals to better understand their own behavior and identify starting points for their personal development.

The PSI potential analysis is suitable for children aged 12 and above, adolescents and adults to improve learning processes or to counteract motivational difficulties. The test is carried out online at home and takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on the test variant. The online test is evaluated at the IMPART Institute (Institute for Motivation and Personality Development Assessment Research and Training, Osnabrück) and graphically processed into a test profile. The test profile shows the personal style of action and individual resources. On this basis, individual development processes can be initiated during the consultation.
