Overview
As a member of Partners in Mobility, EUF in Flensburg currently works with four partner universities in various European countries. From north to south, these include Jyväskylän yliopisto in Finland, Linköpings Universitet in Sweden, University College Syddanmark in neighboring Denmark, and Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem in Hungary. There should be something for everyone - from the cozy everyday life in small to medium-sized towns in Denmark to the big city life in Budapest - from the personal atmosphere of a small university with fewer students, to a university with more than 30,000 students - from nearby universities to those that are further away. Feel free to take a closer look at our partner universities!
University College Syddanmark (UC SYD)
University College Syddanmark (UC SYD)
Our partner university in Denmark, University College Syddanmark (UC SYD), is located in Southern Jutland. UC SYD has four campuses there - in Esbjerg, Kolding, Haderslev and Aabenraa. Currently, there are about 6,500 students enrolled at the university, so the size is roughly comparable to that of our university here in Flensburg. The focus of UC SYD's degree programs is not only on education, but also on health sciences, social sciences and communication sciences. The university offers a variety of exchange programs, and programs for the study areas of teaching and (social) education are offered at almost all locations, with some English-taught courses. International students even have the opportunity to earn a full teaching degree at UC SYD.

Jyväskylän yliopisto (JYU)
Jyväskylän yliopisto (JYU)
Our Finnish partner university Jyväskylän yliopisto (JYU) is located in Jyväskylä in central Finland. The university is home to approximately 14,700 students in six faculties, including a humanities and social sciences faculty, an economics faculty, a sports and health sciences faculty, and an education faculty. Just like our university here in Flensburg, the JYU emerged from a university of education - so the teaching of educational sciences has a long tradition there. Of the 14,700 students, around 900 are from abroad, as the university offers a wide range of international courses. In addition to a large number of English-language courses, the university also offers a summer and winter school for various subjects. In addition, JYU also participates in other international mobility programs such as the FORTHEM project.

Linköpings Universitet (LiU)
Linköpings Universitet (LiU)
Linköpings Universitet (LiU)
Our partner university in Sweden is Linköpings Universitet (LiU). 32,000 students spread across four campuses in Linköping, Norrköping and Stockholm.Linköpings Universitet (LiU) is significantly larger than our European University. This is also reflected in the courses offered at LiU, which are extremely extensive and taught almost exclusively in English. One of the university’s main research foci is the educational sciences, alongside medicine, health sciences and technology, for example.
The proportion of international students at LiU is quite high, at around 1,000 students per year. One reason for this is probably the extensive range of internationalization programs on offer there: in addition to semesters and years abroad, the university also offers shorter stay options, for example as part of the Summer Academy.
More information can be found on the LiU homepage at https://liu.se/en .

Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem (ELTE)
Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem (ELTE)
Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem (ELTE), our partner university in Hungary, has about 28,000 students. ELTE is the oldest university in the country and is located in its capital city, Budapest. Consisting of eight different faculties, including computer science, humanities, law, among others, the focus at ELTE is on education and social sciences. As a university specializing in the educational sciences, it offers elementary school teaching, special education, and early childhood education, for example.
The internationalization program of ELTE is extremely extensive. In addition to the possibility of a semester abroad within the framework of the Erasmus program or a cooperation with a partner university, ELTE is involved in other mobility programs such as "Science without borders" or the CEEPUS program. The university also offers various summer schools on a wide range of topics.
