Beschreibung
This co-operative research project focuses on the challenges teacher face (job reality) with respect to the implementation of inclusive education, as well as associated issues with teacher’s attitude, motivation and self-efficacy. The project may provide tangible details about requirements for the training of teachers in the future as well as teacher’s wishes regarding their future preparation for the day-to-day realities in the current school system. In the first stage of the project, three groups are targeted: (1) teachers in mainstream schools, where inclusive education is supposed to be practiced, (2) special educational needs teachers and other (3) experts (administration). Questionnaires will be used to ascertain the groups’ beliefs regarding the implementation of inclusive education and their perception of children with special needs. In the second stage of the project teachers and experts will be interviewed to gain qualitative information about their personal perceptions, objectives, suggestions and conditions of success in terms of inclusion.
