In April 2024, Andreas Grimmel joined the ICES at Europa-Universität Flensburg as a postdoctoral researcher, where he is currently working on a project on participatory dynamics and democratic innovations in the European Union. Andreas is also Research Director of the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg and Privatdozent at Universität Hamburg. His research interests include EU politics and European integration, democracy and rule of law, political philosophy, regional integration and interregionalism, global governance, international institutions and organizations, the European Court of Justice (ECJ), and regionalism in Asia (Vietnam, China).
