Yvonne Förster is appointed as Foreign Expert at Shanxi University Taiyuan, China and teaches Philosophy at Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany, where she held a Juniorprofessorship (2010-2016). She has been awarded Senior Research Fellowships at two Institutes for Advanced Studies (Media Cultures of Computer Simulation at Leuphana and Cultural Sciences at University of Konstanz) and was a visiting Professor at Bauhaus University Weimar (2009), University of Kassel (2021), Germany and The Chinese University, Hong Kong (2022). She has received her PhD at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany with a thesis on the ontology and experience of time in modern philosophy of time. Her research focuses on human-machine relations, critical posthumanism, theories of embodiment and fashion as art.
