Program profile
The Educational Science – Education in Europe master’s degree program at Europa-Universität Flensburg focuses on extracurricular education in and through Europe.
Students specialize in one of two main subjects:
- Education in Childhood and Youth
- Education in Adulthood
These specialization subjects are embedded into a curriculum that covers in-depth study of education, European education policy, and intercultural education and cultural comparisons.
The following elective courses contribute to the program’s interdisciplinary and international orientation:
- European Studies
- Sociology
- Economics of Education
- Philosophy of Education
- Media Education
- Counseling and Organizational Psychology
In addition to academic research on extracurricular educational processes, students have the chance to actively engage with and reflect on teaching conditions in specific, real-world contexts through a teaching internship.
