Diversity Officers
In accordance with § 27a HSG, diversity officers of Europa-Universität Flensburg and their designated alternates represent the interests of all university members, in particular those of persons in the groups set forth in accordance with according to § 3.5 of the Higher Education Act (Hochschulgesetz HSG). These are:
- Students of all degree levels (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels) with disabilities, a mental illness, or a chronic illness
- Students of all degree levels (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels) who have children or relatives in need of care
- Foreign students
- Professionally qualified students who lack a university entrance qualification
Diversity officers help plan and organize teaching, study, and working conditions for members and dependents of the university. They also advise university members and work to eliminate existing disadvantages. Diversity officers are not subject to directives; there are no official channels between them and the employees.
