Curriculum vitae
Paola Yanguas-Parra is a PhD student of the CoalExit group at the Technical University of Berlin. Her PhD focuses on international coal markets, their dynamics, and the consequences of these dynamics in countries and regions highly dependent on large-scale coal mining, with emphasis on macroeconomic and fiscal implications, and especially on solutions and strategies for economic and social restructuring. She is Colombian and an economist by training. Prior to her PhD Paola completed a master's degree in public policy and worked for 5 years in a research institute analyzing international and national climate (especially mitigation) and energy policies.
