Calling Writers & Artists: Literasea Issue 3 - The Language Issue
Language is all around us and, for many, thinking, reading, speaking and writing in more than one language is a rich and vibrant reality, their identities forged and sustained by the interplay of language and place. We want to celebrate that in Issue 3 by opening the journal to any and all languages.
Beyond the literal interpretation of the theme, lies room for more exploration: language itself. What does it do, what can it do, what does it mean and to whom? How does it change, both in and of itself, as time goes by, and the way its users move through the world? Connection, exclusion, emotion, power, understanding, history, empathy, loss, identity, progress, healing ... the well from which to draw inspiration for this issue's theme is deliciously deep.
We welcome poetry, fiction, and narrative non-fiction. For language and proofreading requirements in this issue, please see our detailed submission guidelines: https://eufliteraryjournal.web.uni-flensburg.de/en/submission-guidelines/
Deadline: please submit your work by March 30th, 2025 via email: eufliteraryjournal@uni-flensburg from your university email address. Creative Writing students have a different deadline.
