Description
The Arabic A1.1 course is suitable for participants with no prior knowledge. Its primary focus is on imparting foundational basics of the Arabic language.
Through everyday conversation topics and situations (greetings and introductions; nationality and language; addresses and numbers), fundamental knowledge of Arabic grammar, vocabulary, and script will be taught.
In developing vocabulary fields, the main topics covered include: describing oneself and introducing others (names, nationality, occupation or field of study, place of origin, family), hobbies, and interests.
Key grammar topics include Arabic letters, personal pronouns, possessive endings, question particles, question words, and nominal sentences.
The course meets once a week and is designed for participants to achieve the first sub-level A1.1 within one semester according to the European Framework of Reference.
Regular and active participation is essential for successfully completing the course. Completing homework assignments is also necessary to practice and reinforce learning.
Language of Instruction - German
The course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction. The final grade is composed of 30% class participation and 70% final exam.
