Description
The Russian course A1.1 is aimed at students with no prior knowledge.
Step by step, participants will learn the Cyrillic alphabet and the basics of Russian grammar (gender of nouns, personal pronouns, verb conjugation types). The focus of the course is on active speaking and understanding (greetings, introductions, nationality, etc.), so that participants can handle simple everyday situations in the target language. The following topics will be covered in this course:
- Personal presentation and introducing people (names, nationality, profession, hobbies)
- Family (family members)
- Living situation (indicating place of residence, giving location information)
The course takes place once a week. It is designed so that participants can complete the first sub-level (A1.1) according to the European Framework within one semester.
The course book covers chapters 1 to 4.
Regular and active participation is required for successfully completing the course. Completing homework is also necessary to practice and reinforce what has been learned.
The course consists of 30 contact hours. The final grade is composed of 30% class participation and 70% final exam.
