Description
Language of instruction: German and Finnish
Target group:
The course Finnish A1.1 is suitable for participants with no previous knowledge of Finnish.
Course content:
The main focus of the course is to give the participants a basic knowledge of the Finnish language and an insight into the culture of the country. Topics of the course A1.1 are greetings and introductions/ asking for help if you don't understand something/ asking how you are/ asking for age, address or price/ describing characteristics of people/ telling about your own family/ months, seasons and the weather. In addition, we learn useful phrases for dealing with each other. Grammatical topics include pronunciation, questions, negation, basic numbers, simple verb forms and the first cases.
Teaching format:
The course takes place in a hybrid format. Before the start date, the teacher sends the course participants detailed information about the first session. Further face-to-face and online sessions will be scheduled in consultation with the students.
