Irish Studies and Cultural Theory Summer School, EUF
After some years of (Covid-related) hiatus, the summer school returned at full throttle in Vienna in July 2023. Prof Dr. Dieter Fuchs (Vienna Centre for Irish Studies) and Prof Dr. Michelle Witen (Europa-Universität Flensburg) were delighted to revive the annual school with a fantastic line-up of speakers talking about the theme of "Irish Icons and Iconoclasts."
This year, the EUF will be hosting the school from 15-19 July 2024 (with warming and cooling events on July 14 and July 20). The summer school is being organized as an Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme, for which the EUF is partnering with the Universities of Cork, Limerick, Prague, Trinity College Dublin, and Charles University Prague.
The theme of this year’s school is "Irish Cultures in Contact." The schedule is posted below (click on poster image below)! The Summer School is accredited according to the ECTS system (please speak with your programme coordinator regarding compatibility and credit transfers).
Please note: Unfortunately, we are not able to offer any funding for travel or accommodation; this will have to be self-arranged. Likewise, there is no student accommodation offered through the EUF, but we will happily send you a list of budget accommodation in Flensburg upon request.
If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Witen.
We can’t wait to welcome you in Flensburg!!
