The Green Transition and Economic Polarisation in Europe: A Multilevel Assessment with Germany and Poland as Case Studies, since October 2023
Research project in cooperation with Polish researchers on Just Transition and socio-economic polarisation with a focus on the lignite mining regions of Lusatia (GER) and Konin (PL). Funded by the DFG-NCN Lead Agency Agreement. Further information.
Completed research projects
Opportunities and Obstacles of Sufficiency-Oriented Urban Development (EHSS II), August 2021 to September 2023
The transdisciplinary research project was carried out in close cooperation with the city of Flensburg. The focus of the study was on the development of the Hafen-Ost neighbourhood, and thus on the question of how to design a city quarter so that people can live there well and consume as few resources as possible. On the other hand, the project examined the specific implications for sufficiency-oriented urban development in general and for sustainable land policy in particular. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Further information.
