As part of the Digitization Programme 3.0, representatives of Schleswig-Holstein's universities and research institutions jointly developed a concept for the establishment of a state initiative for research data management, which was presented to the head of the Department for Technology Transfer, Digitization and Science Statistics at the Ministry of Education in spring 2023.
The concept provides for the establishment of a joint FDM-SH Office containing of two full positions, as well as the establishment of an advisory board. The office was promptly staffed with experienced personell and the constituent meeting of the advisory board was held in spring 2024.
At the heart of FDM-SH lies the cooperation and exchange between specialist communities and Schleswig-Holstein's research institutions. This takes place in regular community meetings as well as within the framework of interest groups (IG) and working groups (AG). The community is open to interested parties from all institutions and disciplines.
Regular events take place in the form of a lecture series: "DatenHorizonte".
