Panel discussion on the Presidency of the Council of the European Union
A panel discussion on Wednesday, 18 November 2020, organized by Clara Seeber, student representative of the Europa-Universität Flensburg und Prof. Dr. Christof Roos, Professor at Europa-Universität Flensburg, took place open for all of the European Cultures and Society students. Topic of the discussion was the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which Germany took over on the first of July 2020 for the following 6 months.
Moderated by Professor Dr. Roos, several speakers were invited:
-Prof. Dr. Uwe Puetter who is Professor at the Europa-Universität Flensburg,
-Charlotte Billingham who is Senior Policy Advisor of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies,
-Arne Schneider who is Desk Officer in the EU Coordination Group and the Task Force German EU Presidency in 2020 from the German Foreign Ministry,
-Clara Seeber as student representative of the Europa-Universität Flensburg
The Council of the European Union, its Presidency and functions have been introduced by the speakers leading to a very interesting discussion among all the participants.
