Pictured above: Brussels's Atomium building during a 'blue hour'
A landmark of the European capital, the Atomium was built for the Expo in 1958 and represents a cubic cell of nine atoms of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. The structure has become an important symbol of the nuclear age and the peaceful utilisation of nuclear energy.
