The International Institute of Management and Economic Education introduces itself

The International Institute for Management and Economic Education (IIM) looks at economic phenomena with an extraordinary breadth of different perspectives. The spectrum ranges from classical business and economics to economic psychology and sociological and legal perspectives. This interdisciplinary research profile enables different approaches, which, however, essentially revolve around the phenomenon of "organization" - be it from a micro or macro perspective, be it from the perspective of economics, sociology or psychology.

The IIM is an institute of the University of Flensburg with eight scheduled and further non-scheduled and associated professorships. Currently, the institute serves about 1,000 students from 59 countries in the fields of International Management and European Studies as well as Economics and Politics in Mediation Studies and thus about a quarter of the European University Flensburg.

The IIM feels committed to the region and cooperates intensively with companies, associations, but also with Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, e.g. at the Jackstädt Center Flensburg. At the same time, internationalism plays a central role in research and teaching. In addition to studies in German and English, courses are also offered in Danish and Spanish to ensure employability in central economic areas. The importance of the cross-border courses of study, which are run jointly with Syddansk Universitet, is outstanding.
