The TestDaF, offered by the Gesellschaft für Akademische Studienvorbereitung und Testentwicklung e.V. (g.a.s.t.), is a language exam at an advanced level, covering proficiency levels B2 to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). While the TestDaF is primarily designed to certify the German language proficiency of international students, it can also be used as proof of language skills for professional purposes.

In Germany, the digital TestDaF costs €210. Payment is made in the participant portal, with options to pay by credit card, direct debit, PayPal, Alipay, or instant transfer (Sofortüberweisung). For payment by direct debit, a bank account with a German bank or savings bank is required.
