The staff unit is responsible for advising and supporting all members of the Europa-Universität Flensburg on matters related to occupational safety, health, and environmental protection.
This support includes, for example:
- Assistance with the preparation of risk assessments, as well as with the implementation of the resulting safety instructions and preventive medical check-ups
- Support in planning new workplaces or workstations
- Guidance when procuring new work equipment that may pose unassessed risks
- Help with the introduction of new work procedures and/or substances
- Advice on selecting necessary personal protective equipment
- Support with questions related to workplace ergonomics
The unit is also responsible for all aspects related to fire safety and emergency management. It works in close collaboration with EUF’s Occupational Safety Committee (ASA).
