GraZ I Visible & Influential: networking across cultures at work, conferences and online
This workshop helps participants develop networking skills for work meetings, international conferences and online by identifying opportunities for becoming more visible and influential.
Participants practice for specific academic contexts (team meetings, international conferences, coffee break small talk and online) to develop strategies to come into contact with senior scientists. Throughout the workshop, participants will be guided through interactive exercises to improve their body language, their self-marketing skills (pitching) and their long-term strategic networking competences. On the first day, the participants take part in a group session with their peers. On the second day, the participants engage in a series of one-to-one tailor-made sessions where they can discuss their specific needs and challenges with the trainer.
