Research and Development

In our research activities, we focus on the further development of individual support for students with problems in experience and behaviour and the professionalization of teachers and specialists both in inclusive settings and in special schools. Special consideration is given to cooperation with other disciplines, e.g. child and adolescent psychotherapy and specialist didactics.

Our research focuses can be assigned to four interlinked areas:

  1. Mental health of students with a focus on emotional and social development at special schools and in inclusive settings & further development of intensive educational support
  2. Teacher-student relationship in students with externalizing and internalizing behavioural problems
  3. Social-emotional learning in (specific) lessons
  4. Professional development with special consideration of interdisciplinary cooperation and counseling
